1 – DATE AND TIME OF THE EVENT

It takes place on September 15th, 2024 at 9:00 am, in the city of Porto, and the maximum duration of this race is 3 hours.

2 – RACES AND WALK

There will be two races: a 5 km walk for all age groups and without competitive purposes; and a race with a distance of 21,097 km for federated and non-federated athletes born in 2006 and before.

It is an organization of Runporto.com, headquartered at Rua António Silva Torres 128 4475-455 Nogueira da Maia, Portugal, with the support of the following entities:

5 – SUPPLIES

I.A.A.F regulations stipulate there must be water and supplies from the 5 km marker and every 5 km thereafter during the race. The number of water points may increase due to weather conditions.

6 – INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION

6.2 – Registration locations

6.3 – Entries are limited and the organisation may close them at any time.

6.4 – Your race kit can be collected:

Alameda Shop & Spot – September 13th and 14th from 10 am to 11 pm.
These are the only times you can collect your kit. There will be no exceptions.

6.4.1 – Documentation required to collect your bib number/race number:

  • Confirmation of registration with the race number.
  • Personal identification document, Identity Card, Citizen Card or Driving License.

6.5 – Taking into account the safety of the participants, the participation of athletes on bicycles, accompanied by animals, skateboards or skates will not be allowed.

6.6 – Pursuant to the legislation in force, the issuance of the invoice must be requested no later than the fifth business day following the day of payment, providing us with the taxpayer number for this purpose.

6.7 – The organization may at any time suspend or extend the deadlines, can also add or limit the number of entries available, depending on technical/security issues or structural needs and availabilities, without notice.

6.8 – Online registrations have 72 hours to make payment. After these 72 hours the registrations are canceled for nonpayment. All paid registrations after this period will be returned with a penalty of € 1.50. You have to send any associated issues to geral@runporto.com within 30 days after the event. You can still complete the registration in case the maximum limit of entries has not been reached yet. The payment of the registration fee should be completed at the time of the request, and please contact the organization at: geral@runporto.com.

6.9 – The organization may at any time carry out promotional campaigns that have a direct or indirect influence on the registration price. These registrations may have special loyalty holder features, registrations locations, and periods where the campaigns are available.

6.10 – Extras – During the registration process, some products and / or services that may be complementary to the event may be available. These products and / or services, which will be charged separately from the registration fee, will be accessible according to the available stock and the necessary deadlines for their correct implementation.

7 – MINIMUM AGES OF PARTICIPATION

Mini Marathon 5 km | For all ages | Time: 9:00 am

8 – PARTICIPANT KIT

8.1 – The participant kits will be delivered only and exclusively at the places and times provided for in number 6 of this regulation.

8.2 – If the participant kit includes the offer of a commemorative T-shirt of the event, the sizes will be distributed according to the requests made at the counter, at the time of collection of the kit. T-shirt stock is distributed upon availability. If there is a break in stock at any size the organization will propose to the participant an alternative size. The organization does not request the desired size on the application form.

9 – ARRIVAL AREA

9.1 – The technical area at the arrival of the event where the reception is held for the athletes will only be accessible to the participants who comply with the present regulation, and as foreseen in number 15 of this document, they have completed the entire course of the event they subscribed.

9.2 – In this finish area will be provided a supply and can be delivered commemorative gifts of the event. If these commemorative gifts have sizes, they will be distributed as requested at this location and stock is distributed upon availability. If there is a break in stock at any size the organization will propose to the participant an alternative size.

9.3 – This is an exclusive area for the participants of the event and will not be allowed access by companions or family.

10 – WARDROBE

The organization will provide to the participants of the Half Marathon (21 km) a wardrobe service. Near the start/finish line, the participants can deliver their bags and collect them later. The bags should be labelled with the number of your bib number.

Do not keep loose objects (eg. A Jacket, helmet, cell phone, etc.).

The organization assumes no responsibility for any loss of property.

11 – CLASSIFICATION AND DECLASSIFICATION

The Mini Marathon 5 km has no ratings.
Half Marathon: Individual ratings for athletes: senior male and female veterans M35-M40-M45-M50-M55-M60 and F35-F40-F45-F50-F55-F60 veterans.

This race will be timed with an electronic system of high precision.
Chip - Electronic Detection System

All athletes of the Mini Marathon 21 km should use the chip provided in the athlete’s kit. The chip is coded to the athlete, is not transferable. The chip reading will only occur if it is placed as directed. The organization is not responsible for the failure of earnings resulting from the displacement of the chip.

The organization will disqualify all athletes who take the race with:
1. More than one chip
2. A chip from another athlete
3. They incur any of the infractions provided for in this regulation.

The lists of classified and disqualified, will be public and can be consulted on the official website of the race.

12 – DIPLOMA

Will be available at www.meiamaratondoporto.com the electronic diploma for all participants in the Hal Marathon 21 km.

13 – JURI

The Jury of proof is the responsibility of the Conselho Regional de Arbitragem da Associação de Atletismo do Porto.

14 – MONITORING

14.1 – Medical assistance will be available during the course, start and finish of the race.

14.2 – May only follow the race the vehicles from organization and identifying vehicles of P.S.P.

15 – OFFENSES

  • No control at the start.
  • Not fulfill entirety the course.
  • Do not take the race number to the chest and visible during the race.
  • Falsify any information on your application.
  • Run with the race number on incorrect terms.
  • Fail to comply with the instructions of the organization.
  • Run over the sidewalks - when not authorized by the organization
  • Be helped by third parties.
  • Use some means of transport.

16 – REGULATIONS

Omissions in this Regulation shall be resolved in accordance with the General Regulations of Competitions of the Federação Portuguesa de Atletismo.

17 – RESOURCES

Presentation of protests - Any complaints must be submitted in writing on the letterhead of the club, to the jury of the evidence up to 10 minutes after the end of the race, along with the importance of € 100,00 (one hundred euros), which will be returned if the protest is accepted (according to the rules of the IAAF, International Association of Athletics Federations and the FPA, Portuguese Athletics Federation)

18 – INSURANCE

The organization of the event will make nominal sports insurance to all participants according to the legal regime of compulsory sports insurance – decree-law nº10 / 2009.

In case of an accident, the athlete should contact the organization of the event so that it can arrange the referral to the insurer. To start a process it is necessary for the athlete to be attended by the team that does the medical follow-up during the event, without prejudice to the athletes being later referred to another emergency medical unit.

It is reserved to the insurer the investigation of the facts presented and its respective performance in conformity with the deferral or not of the activation request of the insurance.

19 – DURATION

The main event, Half Marathon 21 km, will have a maximum duration of 3 hours.

20 – ACCEPTANCE

20.1 – The right of acceptance of entries is reserved to organize.

20.2 – By entering, all participants agree with this Regulation and in case of doubt or emergence situation, you should inform the organization.

21 – CONTROL ANTIDOPING

Participants may be subject to perform an analysis of doping control.

22 – DATA PROTECTION

All data collected in the registration process are kept and treated in a safe manner and are intended for the natural development of the event namely; validation of the nominal insurance made for all participants in the event, list of registrants and elaboration of results/classification tables. In addition, important information about the participation in the event as well as communications of future events will be sent.

All participants may exercise their right to access, rectify or cancel their personal data by sending an e-mail to geral@runporto.com.

23 – IMAGE RIGHTS

The participant, to proceed to the registration authorizes the transfer of free and unconditional rights to use of their image captured during filming that will take place during the event, allowing its reproduction on parts communicational support.

24 – CANCELLATION, TRANSFER AND CHANGE OF REGISTRATION

24.1 – Cancellation

Will be accepted unsubscribe requests until August 15th with no right to a refund of the registration fee.

24.2 – Transfer

The request to assign the registration to a third party participant must be made by email to geral@runporto.com, using the same email address as the login.

Applications for the assignment will be accepted until August 15th and are subject to payment of an administrative fee of € 5.

The transfer of registration does not entitle any refund to the person who gives up the registration.

24.3 – Alterations

Change requests will be accepted within the Porto Half Marathon program (21 km and 5 km) until August 15th, with no reimbursement by the organization if the entry to be changed is more expensive than the entry on the intended event. If the proof is higher than the previous registration, the participant will be asked for the difference between the registration price at the date of this request and the amount paid.

25 – CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT

The event may not take place due to external factors to the organization's will, namely, due to the occurrence of a natural catastrophe, disturbances, strikes, manifestations, inability to use traffic routes, inability to use telecommunications, authority determination, new legislation, health or public safety requirements and other causes of act of god. In these cases, the organization is not obliged to refund the registration fee or any other value to the athletes. The organization can designate a specific place and days for the registered athletes to collect the registration number and any gifts associated with the event. The organization may, however, propose the postponement of the event, in which case the previously made registration will be valid.
