Tirusew quebra recorde feminino da Hyundai Meia Maratona do Porto

16ª edição ficou marcada pelo novo recorde feminino da prova – 01h07m13s

O Jardim do Passeio Alegre foi de novo o local de partida para a prova de atletismo que voltou à estrada em força, com um mar de pessoas a preencher as ruas da cidade invicta.  Lendas do atletismo nacional, Gémeos Castro, Fernanda Ribeiro, Antonio Pinto, Ezequiel Canário e Paulo Guerra fizeram as honras à prova e deram o tiro de partida, acompanhados por Catarina Araújo, vereadora da Câmara Municipal do Porto, José Guilherme Aguiar, Vereador da Câmara de Gaia e Paulo Ferreira, Diretor de Comunicação da Hyundai Portugal.

A chuva não foi impedimento e às 09h00, 8.000 atletas iniciaram a sua prova na distância de 21 km ou 5 km, cada um a seu ritmo, entre amigos e família, numa manhã repleta energia e boa disposição.

Atletas quenianos dominaram as primeiras posições

Com uma elite internacional de peso, a chegada ao Jardim do Passeio Alegre foi protagonizada por três atletas do Quénia. O primeiro atleta a alcançar a linha de meta foi Antony Kimtai com o tempo oficial 01:01:39, seguido por Mike Kiptum Boit, com o tempo 01:01:42, e Barnaba Kipkoech aos 01:01:54. 

Fábio Oliveira (Guilhovai) foi o primeiro português a cortar a linha meta aos 01:06:53, seguido por José Sousa, com o tempo 01:07:14 e por Daniel Pinheiro (PAC Running Academy) com o tempo 01:07:56.

Enatnesh Alamrew Tirusew estabelece novo recorde feminino

No setor feminino, a etíope Enatnesh Alamrew Tirusew foi a grande vencedora com um novo recorde da prova, 01:07:13. Na segunda posição ficou Nancy Chepleting (Quénia) com o tempo 01:09:44, seguida pela Tigist Gashaw (Bahrain) que chegou à meta aos 01:10:05.

Na classificação portuguesa feminina ficou em primeiro lugar Dulce Felix (SL Benfica) com o tempo 01:15:59, seguida por Susana Santos (CD Feirense) com o tempo 01:17:32, e por Sara Duarte (SC Braga) com o tempo 01:18:23.

Antes da entrega de prémios Jorge Teixeira, diretor da Runporto homenageou os antigos atletas, Domingos Castro, Dionisio Castro, António Pinto, Ezequiel Canário, Fernanda Ribeiro, Paulo Guerra e Miguel Mostaza, com uma lembrança simbólica da prova, seguindo-se a entrega das lembranças ao patrocinador principal da prova, Hyundai Portugal, Câmara Municipal do Porto e Câmara Municipal de Gaia. A cerimónia de prémios teve a presença de, Catarina Araújo, Vereadora da Saúde e Qualidade de Vida, Juventude e Desporto da Câmara Municipal do Porto, José Guilherme Aguiar, Vereador do Pelouro do Desporto da Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Gaia Paulo Ferreira, Diretor de Comunicação da Hyundai Portugal.
