Sol a reluzir e atletas a brilhar assim foi a Hyundai Meia Maratona do Porto

A Hyundai Meia Maratona do Porto voltou às ruas da cidade Invicta na manhã deste domingo, 15 de setembro. Este ano o bom tempo deu as boas vindas à prova que arrancou com o tiro de partida dado pela vereadora da Câmara Municipal do Porto, Catarina Araújo, acompanhada por grandes nomes do atletismo português, Fernanda Ribeiro, Sara Moreira, Paulo Guerra, António Pinto e Domingos Castro.

Cerca de 10.000 atletas iniciaram a sua prova na distância de 21 km ou 5 km, cada um a seu ritmo, entre amigos e família, numa manhã repleta de boa disposição.

Atletas quenianos dominaram os lugares do pódio 

Com uma elite internacional de peso, a chegada ao Jardim do Passeio Alegre foi protagonizada por três atletas do Quénia. O primeiro atleta a alcançar a linha de meta foi Gilbert Kibet com o tempo oficial 01:00:26, seguido por James Kipkogei Kipkoech, com o tempo 01:00:53, e Mike Kiptum Boit com 01:01:31. 

Miguel Borges (SC Braga) foi o primeiro português a cortar a linha da meta aos 01:07:30, ficando na 9ª posição da classificação geral, seguido por Fabio Oliveira (GDC Guilhovai), com o tempo 01:07:30 na 10ª posição da geral, e por Nuno Lopes (Vitoria FC) com o tempo 01:07:51 na 11ª posição da geral.

Cynthia Chemweno foi a grande vencedora feminina

No setor feminino, a queniana Cynthia Chemweno foi a grande vencedora com o tempo 01:09:59. Na segunda e terceira posição ficaram as atletas japonesas Yuki Nakamura (2ª posição), com 01:12:24 e Chiharu Suzuki (3ª posição) com o tempo 01:13:10.  

Na classificação portuguesa feminina ficou em primeiro lugar Susana Godinho (GDC Guilhovai) – 4ª classificada da geral – com o tempo 01:13:59, seguida por Salomé Rocha (SC Sporting) – 5ª classificada da geral – com o tempo 01:14:47, e por Rafaela Fonseca (GDC Guilhovai) – 6ª classificada da geral – com o tempo 01:16:48.

A cerimónia de pódio iniciou-se com Jorge Teixeira, diretor da Runporto, juntamente com os ex-atletas Fernanda Ribeiro, Domingos Castro, Paulo Guerra e António Pinto a entregarem as lembranças da prova às Câmaras Municipais do Porto e de Vila Nova de Gaia e ao patrocinador principal do evento, a Hyundai.

Para a entrega dos prémios esteve presente Pedro Duarte, Ministro dos Assuntos Parlamentares, Paulo Santos, Vice-presidente do IPDJ, Catarina Araújo, Vereadora da Saúde e Qualidade de Vida, Juventude e Desporto da Câmara Municipal do Porto, Mário Duarte, Diretor da Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Gaia, Jorge Vieira, Presidente da Federação Portuguesa de Atletismo, Luís Pedro Martins, Presidente do Turismo Porto e Norte e Paulo Ferreira, Diretor de Comunicação e Relações Públicas da Hyundai Portugal.
