What has changed?
- This year there will only be a half marathon distance – 21k
- In the 21k route, the Departure location changed to the Arrival location – it will be more practical and convenient, making the usual shuttles unnecessary.
- Fewer participants and greater spacing at departure and arrival locations.
- We anticipate departure to 8am.
What is needed to participate?
- Covid-19 Digital Certificate – valid on the date of the event - https://www.sns24.gov.pt/certificado-digital-covid/#aceder
- If not certified, participants can submit a PCR test within 72 hours or an antigen test within 48 hours prior to the date and time of the event.
- Each participant must carry out the survey of their own dorsal.
- The use of a mask is mandatory during departure and shortly after arrival. The masks may, under individual responsibility, be removed when there is physical distance between the participants, but never within the first 200 meters. Right after the goal line, a new mask will be provided by the organization for each participant.

Where do we improve on security?
- The entire organization of the event will have to present a Covid-19 Digital Certificate or be tested.
- In supplies during the course (5k, 10k, 15k, 20k) the runners will find unopened bottles scattered on the various tables of the organization. Each participant can pick up a bottle avoiding contact with staff members.
- At the finish line, the final supply will be available at the tables in the finish area. Each participant can pick up a bag and continue to the exit.
- The match will be made by groups in order to improve the spacing between the athletes.
- We will build the biggest starting zone ever so that all athletes have space and tranquility to run the race safely.
Very important
- All athletes who, in the previous 14 days of the Porto Half Marathon, present one or more symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 (fever, cough, respiratory distress), present a positive test, or have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID- 19, must inform the organization and must not attend the event.
- The temperature will be measured for all athletes in the Porto Half Marathon before accessing the starting areas. Athletes with a temperature equal to or greater than 38°C will not be able to access the Start zone and remain in the place, with situations being referred to the isolation zones of the Start area and the emergency coordination medical team and COVID-19.
- Athletes should regularly sanitize their hands using the alcohol gel dispensers and dispensers placed in the main areas of the event
- All athletes must comply with the standards of respiratory etiquette and social distancing, avoiding crowding, complying with signs and visual indications and respecting the guidelines of the organization's elements (ex.: circulation in the competition areas, speaker information).
Advised
- Attentive listening to the instructions of the speaker of the test;
- After finishing the race, participants must leave the venue as soon as possible.
